It's you who can make this happen, thank you :). Our EOFY sales keep coming in hot! We've got a pair of absolute value machines for 1080P gaming for people on a tight budget or who just want to get into PC gaming! Price point wise now it's even more competitive than console. The RX 6500XT is definitely an entry-level bang for buck GPU and will fare well for people who don't require lots of GPU grunt. For this new price point, it definitely has a place in the market! Here are the benchmarks on 20 games on 1080P with a 10400F. Averaging 551 FPS on Minecraft!

  • Awesome builds, you’ve chosen your parts well to give great performance for this price range.

    • +2

Cheers! Lots of different price points and combinations available in this industry, we try cater for all :).

  • Wow. Making me think again if I should buy a new laptop now. Are these good enough for triple AAA titles on 1080p medium settings?

    • Yep! Likely not Ultra settings though if you want an enjoyable gaming experience.

  • any chance that cheap pc can be with a BYO GPU?

    • +2

We've got some latest gen AM5 platform BYO GPU rigs here - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/852332. For previous gen BYO it typically isn't as popular as people are looking to upgrade to the latest tech but will definitely keep this in the books!

  • +6

As nice as this price point is, pairing a 6500 XT on a motherboard that only supports PCIe gen 3 is a well documented bad idea.

    • +2

You're not wrong! For OzBargain rigs our goal is to make it the ultimate value machine with some small compromises like PCIe 3 and no Wi-Fi on some rigs. It'll all work and be the best price possible as we are trying to provide the best bargain for the community. Of course, every customer's needs are different so we try to cater for everyone, there are upgrade pathways to PCIe 4 motherboards and more :). Hope you understand that as much as I try to cater for everyone it's impossible in IT. In this case preferably PCIe 4 motherboard on the base model, there may be people who are more price driven and PCIe 3 isn't a concern after considering the savings on the motherboard.

      • +1

Soyo have a B550 motherboard that is about the same price as the Asus A520M, might be worth a look… But then the Ryzen 5500 would also need to get swapped with a 5600. Yeah the 6500XT sadly doesn't make sense as a GPU for the AMD build

        • +3

We can't get Soyo motherboards locally here, there'd be no local support and it'd be a nightmare to work with unfortunately. The other priority is reliability, we try our best to use products that are reliable. Your feedback is super important to us brother, thank you! We will always do better don't stress!

      • EDITED: I should choose Hound | Intel (Wi-Fi) - Sapphire PULSE RX 6500XT if I wanted WIFI, is this WIFI-6?

  • Great little system the 12100f

  • Windows not included?

    • +3

No OS, that's how we can pass on the most amount of savings to you! Software is very costly these days, you have the option to include a license with us if you wish.

      • Question if you get a system without the software.. is it just a matter of getting a licence/key and putting that into the machine, and off you go?

It's been 10 Years since I've built a PC, etc, things have changed a fair bit 😆

Also, keep up the great work Lawrence, I'll get one of your deals I've I've saved up though coin 👍👍

        • You can install any OS you like yep! Super straightforward with many guides online :).

Cheers for your support legend! :)

        • Unfortunately they have no way of testing it as a complete system, it could arrive DOA and you'll be stuck with returning the system for a replacement.

          • +2

@BooYa: That's wrong, we use external drives to test the system along with benchmarking and health checking the SSD installed on the system with no OS. No systems will ever arrive DOA from components unless the courier decides to kick it around like a soccer ball.

            • @Nebula PC: What courier do you use?

Some couriers just throw boxes over the gate where we live; Australia Post hold at the PO if we're out.

              • @Its4me: We use a range but Australia Post typically isn't one of them. All of them require a signature on delivery so they won't throw it over the gate or take to the PO. If unavailable a redelivery will be required. Typically we use Team Global Express or Go Logistics.

            • @Nebula PC: So, when testing, do you use these external drives to boot from?

  • What I/O connections does the Hound - Sapphire PULSE RX 6500XT have?
Looking for at least 6 USB.

    • For the rear USB I/O on motherboard, there are 7 in total - https://gyazo.com/a8b38a87dbe5350310b43413fe9253a8

For the case, there are 3 more. Well more than enough for your needs :).

      • Thanks.
How long would it take to be ready for delivery with windows 11 installed?

        • Super smashed with EOFY orders but our ETA is still on track of 7-10 business days from despatch. Each system is hand-built meticulously and we have hundreds in the backlog. Once despatched delivery is extremely fast as we use express couriers only.

The following are our estimated delivery time frames with our couriers after despatch:
Metro Sydney – Same-day delivery (for business addresses, authority to leave and customers available to take delivery)
Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong, and Newcastle - Same-day delivery (for business addresses, authority to leave and customers available to take delivery)
All other non-listed major regional town in NSW - Next business day
Metro Melbourne – Next business day
Metro Brisbane – Next business day
          ACT – Next business day
Metro Adelaide – 2 business days
          Tasmania – 3-4 business days
Metro Perth – 4-5 business days
Northern Territory – 5-7 business days

  • Do you have any updated AMD 4080 super builds on the way?

    • Only the current ones for now :).

  • i3-12100F, RX 6600 8GB, 16GB RAM, 1TB: $808, $50 Del @ Nebula PC

When i try to add this to cart it says the PSU is out of stock, 1 out of -28

    • Configuration error, this has been fixed thank you! :)

  • Will they both work with a 4K monitor?
Which on is the better computer (disregarding the price difference)?

    • Yes, both will be able to output to a 4K monitor. The Hound Intel variant is a better computer with onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with a better motherboard.

      • thanks.

  • I think there is an error with one upgrade. 7600 (+$308) and 7600x (+$489), a whopping $171 bump for just an X version.

    • Thanks for spotting that! I will fix that up.

  • Would the first package be good for NAS?

    • I think storage space would be a bit difficult, NAS systems usually can fit a few HDDs. The base model case can fit two HDDs max.

  • +1

How suitable is this for CS2??

    • Very suitable for 1080P gaming.

      • What exactly does it mean 1080p gaming? I got a 32 inch monitor.. does that make a difference?

        • +1

It means the resolution of your monitor, if you have a 32" monitor it likely is a 1440P monitor and it will require more grunt from the GPU and CPU to play games smoothly. I would recommend a 4070 Super or 7800XT system and above for your kind of monitor - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/850807 or https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/848376. CS2 typically isn't that graphically intense so likely you can get away with an RTX 4060 and 7500F system as I believe it's more CPU intense. It should be fine on a budget for 1440P gaming for CS2.

          • @Nebula PC: Thank you so much. I'll check out your various deals

            • @freedomofspeech: No problem! Please check out benchmarks of components for the games you'll play as well!

              • @Nebula PC: I suspect out of the 2 youshared, the Oscar - MSI Ventus RTX 4070 Super 2x OC is more superior?

                • @freedomofspeech: Gekko is the best, it has the 7800X3D - currently the fastest gaming CPU on the market that doesn't break your bank :).

  • The graphic card is available here for much cheaper https://igamecomputer.com.au/product/sapphire-pulse-amd-rx-6…

Placed an order but requested to cancel a few hours later, but they asked for 20% restocking fee even though they haven't assembled it yet.

    • Yes, this is true. We can’t cancel orders due to change of mind - https://www.nebulapc.com.au/pages/returns. As stock is already allocated we can only cancel and refund with a restocking fee. From payment transaction fees we will also lose money on this as we won't receive it from back the processor rendering the whole order a loss. Our margins are in the single digits. Once an order is placed many administrative tasks are completed in the background and they incur cost even if not assembled. I really do apologise for this but this is the only way we can do what we do with such low prices on the market. This is truly one of the downsides of what we do. There are very slim margins to be made and the operations process has to be as streamlined and efficient as possible. It’s just the nature of the industry we're in - if it were fast fashion with 400% margin on a hoodie it would be a different story.

Even assuming the cost of the GPU is the price you linked, the total build price for an end user to build themselves without freight will be around $664.86. We provide comprehensive service, including build and warranty with lifetime support. We've been communicating by email, please see my latest reply.

  • These price points are great and I struggle to understand how you can even make a profit on them, but the choice of SSD stops me pressing go. Why not offer Samsung even as an upgrade option?

    • We don't really make money on these, it's all volume based and margins are in single digits. We do offer Samsung but not the full range as they are very expensive for what they're worth, it's one of those good value builds. Samsung 990 1TB and 2TB is available on our builder in the SSD section. We have many models from Lexar and the RMA rate has been extremely low and affordable in price. The closest to Samsung 990 speeds would be the Lexar NM790 or ADATA S70 1TB that we stock. Our top goal is to get you the best deal and in general, I'd say for most people on OzBargain the fact that there isn't a Samsung SSD won't stop them from the green light :). The market is extremely large and combinations are endless, it is impossible for me to cater for all users but I try my best.

Any component you see us choose is focussed on performance to give you the best value in dollars and the most reliable as low warranty rates are our top priority.

      Hope you understand!

  • Hey Lawrence!
Which of your PCs would you recommend for someone that always has a heap of windows / tabs open, wants light video editing (namely for social media), light gaming (the Sims as an example) and also uses design/architectural programs such as SketchUp.
    Thanks :)

    • Hmn I would say this really depends on your budget! These kind of things the more you spend the better it gets. You shouldn't need a beefy GPU, you mostly need a suitable amount of RAM and a fast CPU. I'd say our Jett RTX 4060 rig would be most suitable - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/847249. If you plan on playing AAA titles on 1440P and if budget allows the 4060 Ti should still be plenty!

      • Thank you! If that’s the case, should I choose to not play any games nor utilise this PC for design software but still had all the other requirements - would I be better off simply going with an office build type PC? So more for multiple tabs/windows and light video editing only.

If so, what would be your alternative recommendation? :)

        • No, gaming PCs are all rounder kind of systems and can do both your design needs and gaming. It would not be better to get an office build type PC as you can do it all on one computer. I hope that makes sense - the recommendation I sent earlier I believe is still the best option for your needs.

          Lawrence

  • It might look OK compared with PCPP, but I'd really encourage anyone looking for an entry level gaming build to spend a tiny bit more and grab a better GPU. The 6500XT just doesn't cut it especially on PCIe gen 3, it's slower than entry level GPUs from yesteryear like the RX 570 or 1650 super.

I don't see a reason to buy this config when a similar Nebula build with a 6600 exists for $50 more, and the 6600 gets over 2x the average FPS vs the 6500XT (gen 3).

  • when does this deal expire????

    • When we sell out :).
